Capetown is a BEAUTIFUL city. I cannot say that enough. Literally everywhere you look is picture perfect. That said, the 10 days I spent there was not nearly enough to cover all the sites and experiences Capetown has to offer. Sidetone: Uber is probably the cheapest and most convenient way to get around. None of my Uber rides costed more than $10.
Visit Table Mountain
Table Mountain is for sure a must see. Its a flat topped mountain that overlooks the city. Its a pretty popular tourist destination, with most people either hiking or taking a cable car to the top. I am by no means a hiker, so of course I took a cable car. I advise that you get there super early though — the line for the cars can get pretty long. I think it took us at least an hour to even get on the stairs leading up to the cable cars!
Visit One (or more!) Vineyards
I’m sure I don’t need to spend too much time making a case for why you should go on several wine tours in South Africa, but besides all the delicious wine (and sometimes paired cheese), the views are amazing! We visited Anura Vinelands and Fairview Wines for tastings.
Go on a Safari!
Although the one we went on was a 2 hour drive away, it was definitely worth the trip! We got to see all of the “Big 5” (African lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, African leopard, and White/Black Rhinoceros). It also included breakfast with mimosas, and lunch.
